A blood test measures the serum levels of hormones. As hormones are not soluble in water, the levels of hormones in serum are thought of as a momentary depiction of hormone levels. Their fluctuations make them a less useful tool in the diagnosis of hormonal issues.

Salivary tests and dry urine hormone tests are usually much better at giving an accurate measure of hormone levels. Vitamin B9 (FOlate)

Vitamin B9, also known as folate, plays an important role in hormone synthesis and regulation. In particular, folate is necessary for the synthesis of testosterone. It helps to reduce inflammation and cardiovascular risk by keeping blood vessels healthy and preventing the buildup of plaque.
