PURPLE POWER! BEET BLACK SEED DETOXER RECIPE
This smoothie takes inspiration from former juicing diets, but since some research suggests juicing leaves all the best stuff behind in the juicer and sends a sugar-heavy jolt to your system, denser, fibrous, whole raw-food drinks may be better.
This delicious Beet Black Seed Detox Smoothie will nourish your body and help rid it of toxins while incorporating more fruits and vegetables into your day. INGREDIENTS
1 medium raw beet, peeled, and shredded
1 large Gala, Fuji or Honeycrisp apple, chopped into 1 inch pieces
2 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled, and chopped fine (1 tablespoon)
½ teaspoon Black Seed Oil
½ lemon, juiced
½ cup water (more, if needed)
2 teaspoons Chia seeds
2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (if needed) INSTRUCTIONS
Place all of the ingredients into food processor and blend until smooth and creamy. Serves 2.
